A wave crashes over me Surprising, And yet, my feet have been wet for years; Ankle deep and unknowing. At the end of a corridor so dark, That even the concept of light could not penetrate it's folds, A figure stood in even denser shadow, Staring at me across Time and Space; And I stared back, transfixed and unknowing. Those eyes held mine for an eternity in their Golden rays, And I dragged my sodden feet Through the dark and deep, That lightless corridor that leads from Paradise to the Uncertain. Inspiration pours like water into my left hand, And I drink it thirstily, with gratitude. It glosses my lips, and I smile, And with the right hand I record the gift of the moment, That Inspiration has gifted to me.
